THE HEART OF CRYSTALS
Who doesn’t love crystals? Their power and allure are irresistible.
Spiritual seekers use them to invoke the hidden forces of the universe. Fashion goers use jewelry as the ultimate expression of beauty. And we all remember the thrill of breaking open our first rock and finding the sparkling, crystal treasure at its core.
From a Centerpath perspective, it’s satisfying to know these lovely creations are formed almost exclusively in center-oriented patterns about centers.
Of the main patterns, the most prominent is the body-centered cubic which can be readily viewed on a grand scale at the Atomia display in Brussels (see image below).
The significance of this shape can’t be overstated.
For just like atoms and cells combining to form molecules and tissues respectively; body-centered cubic’s form the basic ‘unit cell’ for practically all metallic and crystalline structures.
Stacked in innumerable, overlapping lattice structures, body-centered cubic’s combine to form the larger structures of rocks, stones, and crystals. They also from the many metallic structures which form the backbone of society such as cars, furniture, buildings, airplanes, etc.

Worth
Although society places a large premium on high tech gadgets over art, I firmly believe art remains the highest form of human expression. Viewing one Van Gogh is all I need to remind myself of this.
Thus, it was refreshing to find this belief actually supported by hard economic facts!
You see, when we compare the ‘cost to weight’ ratio of art versus high-tech devices, art is the clear winner!
Consider the following comparative costs;
- I Phone 7 = $1,000 / 0.188 KG = $ 5,319 / Kg
- Fighter Jet (F35-B) = $150,000,000 / 27,000 KG = $ 5,555 / Kg
- 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO = $38,115,000 / 950 KG = $ 40,121 / Kg
- Gold (at its peak price in 2011) = $ 67,314 / kg
- Painting (Van Gogh’s Vase with Fifteen Sunflowers) = $73,000,000 / 1 kg = 73,000,000 /kg
Thus I encourage you to begin considering art in its rightful place—as the greatest form of human expression.
You should get closer to it in its prime expressions as music, philosophy, and painting by making the time to do so.
You’ll be glad you did! Art is still the most valuable output of our species—not only in terms of value but in its crystallization the near infinite power of imagination!

I guess the only remaining question is–“what in the universe is not beautiful?”
Centerpath 101 – Centers Unite Larger Things
As Centerpath teaches, an essential function of centers is to unite hosts of ‘things’ into larger, cohesive organizations.
This phenomenon is especially evident in large-scale human groupings where a single, central symbol can serve to unite 100’s of millions of people.
Nowhere is this more apparent than at the entrance to the Forbidden City at the heart of Beijing where a huge portrait of Mao resides (see image below).
While standing there viewing the portrait, you can almost feel the hearts of 1.4 billion people come together as one—united in the shared image of their iconic leader at the core of their collective psyche.
A powerful experience made even more meaningful, through a basic knowledge of Centerpath!

How to Save the World? One Heart at a Time!
So many valiant attempts to save the world and our souls. Doctrines, ideas, manifestos, and heartfelt attempts–all ultimately well-intended but none have fully succeeded.
The reasons are many and therein lies the roots of their failure. They glossed over the simple truth there are higher order things in the universe–and they all spring from nature herself.
Balance, symmetry, purity, holism, and collaborative relationships; are the features of nature. As we derive from nature our disposition is the same–we seek higher planes being. It’s just that we’ve been ‘ruined’ by parts of our psyche that seek to gain advantage without consideration for anything else. In this condition we are bound for failure as greed, selfishness, winning, pride, and ignorance take hold and we increasingly become lost at sea.
i-Citizen seeks to reverse today’s red tide by simply instilling goodness, truth, balance, and holism, and collaborative relations back into the heart and soul of men and the its institutions. Redeeming our souls, and simultaneously saving the planet, one beautiful act at a time.
